- Do I need a username and password to trade or sell ice on FindIce?
Yes, you'll need a username (email address) and password to post icetimes
to FindIce.
Without logging on, all you can do is view the available ice times. If the
owner of the ice has made contact info available, you can contact them if you
wish.
- This FindIce is new. Why did it change?
The old FindIce was about five years old and website technology has changed
a lot in that time.
The new version of FindIce is more stable and should have less down time.
Also, hopefully it's easier to use.
- With the old FindIce I used my team name as my username for logging on. With the
new FindIce, I use my email address. Why the change?
With the new FindIce, your email address can be associated with more than one
team. So, if you are lucky enough to be the manager for two teams, you will only
have to remember one username and password.
If you trade ice for more than one team, you will select the icetime owner (or team)
when posting a new icetime.
- Do I need to have cookies and JavaScript enabled to use FindIce?
You need both cookies and JavaScript enabled to log on and post or
edit icetimes.
If all you do is look at FindIce without logging on, then you probably
won't need these enabled.
- Will I be able to post icetimes for my spring team on FindIce?
Soon you will be able to post icetimes outside of a minor hockey association.
The main difference is that the posted icetime won't show a minor hockey association
and the Owner will be the display name of user that posted the icetime.
It's important that users respect the rules of minor hockey associations and
that minor hockey ice be handled as their rules dictate.
